Somewhere along the way we forgot what we are. We are human. We have bodies that belong to nature. So, many of us go about our days going to work, wondering what we’re going to eat, what errands we need to run, what show are we going to watch, who is doing what, blah blah blah. We spend all of our time lost in the daily grind not even paying attention to what is really happening around us. Go out to the country at night and look up. Look at the vastness of the universe. Start googling the wonders of the world. We are on a planet that is spinning in a universe that is alive. The planet has a rhythm. It’s got oceans, rivers, mountains. More animals than we even know. More ocean life than we know. There is life everywhere. Go for a walk in the woods. Go get lost in nature and remember what you are. We are part of something much larger than what we preoccupy our minds with. We just stopped paying attention.
In the beginning we were cave men right? Then man started looking out and he was aware. He looked and saw the trees and animals and started naming them. Man watched the sky and saw how the seasons changed. He learned to hunt and garden. The more you were aware the more you learned right? The more man labeled stuff they could communicate. And, the ones who knew the most were the wise ones. The spiritual leaders. The ones who created religion. The guidelines for rules to follow. And societies grew and grew as man became more civilized. We can look back now and be like why did they think that was a good idea? There is a lot of barbaric stuff that as a society we were apart of. We thought it was normal. Got a blood disease, put some leeches on them. That’ll fix it. We thought we knew better, we did not. We are in that same situation today. We think people are smart and doing what’s best for us, but are they? Sure we know way more now than what we did, but we for sure don’t know everything. I passed 4 years of Spanish class, and I’m Hispanic. On paper you would say she’d be great as a translator. Except I know very little Spanish. I was always able to ace my school work, but would soon forget everything I learned, because I never used it. Just because someone looks good on paper does not mean they are knowledgeable. Just because someone is a doctor does not mean they will heal you. Just because someone is a teacher it does not mean you will be able to learn from them. We need to pay attention and use our own discernment. Stop trusting that everything is being done for our good and see what is actually happening.
We are human. We have bodies that are made up of DNA. We have a heart that produces electrical impulses. We have a brain that is constantly firing synapses so we can think. We have blood and lymphatic fluids that are moving through our bodies. We have hormones. Etc. We are a natural part of nature. So, why are we surprised that Cancer and illness is everywhere we look? We stopped relying on nature and bought into the system. We no longer look for the natural cures. We want someone to do something easy to fix it. Give me a pill to take everyday so I don’t have to change my lifestyle. You see the commercials for every new medication that comes on the market. They all have the endless list of warnings that come along with the pretty pictures on the tv screen. I think who in their right mind would take that pill? Lots of us. It’s what is normal. You get sick, you go to the doctor. He gives you medicine. You go to the pharmacy and get it. We teach are kids. Then they teach their kids, and so on. We buy our food at the local grocery store. We see all the marketing for fast food and restaurants. We just continue to consume whatever looks good. We have all been programmed to how we live our lives. It’s just normal.
Now, people are starting to wake up. They are starting to communicate about different things then the latest movie or new phone. They are starting to get fed up. You have other countries that are saying hey do you realize your food is poison? We eat the same things but without the chemicals. Start looking up the ingredients that we’re consuming on the regular. The plastic particles in our food. Does eating plastic sound healthy to you? It’s not just the food either. We use deodorant that is made up of aluminum. We put that directly on skin that is above our lymph nodes. Then we are surprised when cancer shows up there. We wash our hair with chemicals. We use toxic laundry soap. It goes on and on. We are surrounded by chemicals. We are addicted to the easy. We want things quick and someone else tell me it’s okay for me. The government is making a profit. Pharmaceutical companies are loving it. Keep the people sick and rack in the profits. We need more nurses so lets get young kids to sign up for college. They will go into debt and struggle, but we will tell them they are doing good. Going to help all the sick people. There’s no money in the cures. There’s money in keeping the people distracted. Show them fear on the news. You need us to protect you. Why is the US Food and Drug Administration working together? That doesn’t even make logical sense. So we continue to work and do as we are told. By the society we as man have created.
I know this may seem overwhelming. What can I do? I can’t take on the whole system. Maybe, maybe not. But, you should be aware. You can change for you if you want. You can teach your kids a healthier way to live. A way that is not dependent on a system, but on your own self knowledge. I see more and more younger adults learning the old ways. Learning how to garden and butcher their own chickens. Learning how to can and home school their children. Stepping away from society to create a new/old way of living. I think it’s amazing. Yes a lot of hard work, but rewarding. My motto is always do both. You don’t have to completely change your life, but you can choose what is important to you and make the changes. There are natural products you can buy. You could shop farmers markets and buy butchered meat local. I still like to splurge and eat out, but I don’t feel as crappy for doing it when I know where a majority of my nutrition comes from. Your body needs natural food. It needs natural sunlight. You need to breathe fresh air. Your body needs movement. It’s great for your joints. If all you do is sit at a desk, then go home and sit at on a couch, and your back hurts why are you surprised. We all have our own lives. Our own way of living that makes sense to us. But, maybe it’s time to start taking responsibility for what we complain about. If you don’t want to be sick, then live healthy. Or don’t, but don’t complain about it. You chose that. If you don’t want to be dependent on others, learn self reliance. If you don’t want to be in pain, find out what you can do for you. You have to put in the work. Nobody can make you choose better for yourself. I’m not here to tell you that you should or that you have to. I’m just here to tell you that maybe you are sabotaging yourself, and you deserve better. We all deserve to exist and live out our best life. Humans are capable of so many wonderful things. Imagine what we could do if we were motivated and excited for the future versus struggling in the day to day. We created the society we live in, and we can create a new one. It starts with a little ripple. The more of us that start choosing different, the more of us who will see a new way. New possibilities. New hope. I’m only one small woman, but I have a voice. So, I’m going to use it, because you don’t know what you don’t know. It’s up to you what you do with the information.
Sending positive vibes, the Awakened Bruja
