Sound and Energy Healing

I always sort of knew about energy healing. I knew Native American Shamans were into that sort of thing, but really did not have an understanding of what it was. Until recently. Here’s what I’ve learned. Everything is made up of energy. The whole world. From the chair you sit on, to the air around you, the plants, the water. Everything. Whole universe. You get the point. Well, your body is made up of energy too. It’s called the HEF (Human Energy Field). Look it up. It’s a thing. Well, it’s believed we are made up of 4 different types of energy that feed off each other. Physical which is the quantity of your energy. Emotional: the quality of your energy. Mental: the focus of your energy. and Spiritual: the force of your energy. The goal is to have a good balance and flow. You can be super physically fit, but have depression. Or maybe you’re a pretty positive person, but you lack self esteem. Whatever it may be. It all works together. And our energy effects our quality of life.

The way I understand it is there are different benefits for your body with different frequencies. Different sounds and vibrations radiating your body can help with all sorts of stuff. For starters the vibrations helps move the stagnant energy in your body. You don’t even realize you’re holding on to it. Think of it this way. Something happens to get you upset and your response is to shove it down. Not deal with it. The energy from that moment stays in your energy field. So, you just keep on living life and when something unpleasant comes along you push it down. You hold grudges. You engage in negative self talk. Whatever it may be. All that energy is still with you. So, eventually it has to come out in some form. Maybe you blow up and lose your temper. Maybe your just super irritable. Maybe it starts manifesting as inflammation. Aches and pains. Disease. As depression. Anxiety. The list could go on and on. The point is. We need to deal with that build up of crap and stop avoiding our feelings. We need to have balance between our emotions and our logic. You have emotions for a reason. They help guide you to what you truly want and enjoy. But we’re not meant to live in them. We need to feel the emotion and let it go. Stop hanging on to the past. See things as they are and go from there. Use your logic. If you don’t know what you want, how do you expect to get it. Then you have to take action. Make steps in the right direction. Sounds like common sense stuff. But we just get caught up in the day to day and forget to take time for ourselves. To check in with our mind and bodies. Maybe it’s time to try something new. I did.

Sound frequency is being proven more and more every day. It’s helping to treat anxiety and depression. Chronic pain. Stomach issues. All sorts of stuff. If you are interested, there are different types of energy healing. One that I have really come to enjoy is singing bowl meditations. Just hanging out while someone plays singing bowls, and the room just fills with different tones and vibrations is super relaxing to me. There are also different sound frequencies you can listen to on YouTube or Spotify. You just got to search it out. It’ll give recommendations for which frequency helps with what. I personally like to sleep with sound frequencies on. And I do wake up pretty refreshed most mornings.

You can also look into other forms of energy healing like Reiki or Shamanic Healing. These forms work on specific energy centers in your body. 2 different types but extremely similar. Between these two I feel like it’s a matter of preference. Reiki is based around the 7 main energy centers known as Chakras. While Shamanism divides the 7 chakras into 3 energy centers. Just two different ways of looking at the same thing. Both types of practitioners believe in using there body to ground to the earths energy field. While placing their hands either on or above energy centers to create a bridge to allow energy to flow and balance. The biggest difference is shamanism tends to be more on the mystical side. Most Reiki practitioners are certified through some sort of program. While Shamans believe in a calling. They are gifted with a connection to their ancestors and the other side. So, like I said. They both work with your bodies energy field. It’s just a matter of how weird you want to get. For me? I love the weird. I received my certification in Reiki, but I practice energy healing like a Shaman. I’m able to open myself up to my ancestors for their wisdom and guidance. Why not help people if I can. I get it. It’s not for everyone. But, the point of all this is there are other ways to get better. I for one got fed up of going to the doctor for inflammation and all sorts of issues. When I started changing things and opening myself up to other possibilities I felt better.

If this works why isn’t it a bigger deal? I think we just didn’t see it. It’s been around. It has helped numerous people. But, it’s one of those things that unless you know somebody who’s done it, you probably never heard of it. It’s not publicized on TV. And we all know there’s no money in the cure. Of course, you have to have an open mind and be willing to think outside the box. It’s not for everyone. For those of you wanting to learn more. Start doing your research and learn for yourself. Find what works for you. Why not be open to other possibilities. Even if you think it’s just the placebo effect. If it works for you it works. In the end that’s all that matters.
