As a society we have been sold a lie. That somehow our value lies in how much we are able to accomplish in a day. We stay busy and distracted. Always agreeing to do more for fear of letting someone down. We wear ourselves thin and find ourselves exhausted and detached from the present moment. Constantly living in a fog of what do I need to do next. But in truth, the moment we are currently existing in is the moment. It’s the moment we get to focus on whatever it is we choose. Like the joy of our children, the connection with our spouse, the family laughter, the coming together during our hardships. The experience. Our thoughts have been hijacked by our brains autopilot. Why is it that we find it so hard to control our inner dialogue? We forget. We are here. We are alive. We are existing. Life itself, animated in the flesh. Is this the life you choose? Is this as good as it gets?
Every moment we exist in is a product of our choices. We arrive in each moment by moving through our lives making decisions, small and large. Each word spoken, each step taken. Where are you in your life? Does it feel like you thought it would? Is it better than you imagined? More than you could have ever hoped for? Does your life bring a smile to your face? Does your passion ignite a fire deep within your soul? This is life. It’s the experience of physical existence. We get to experience this. Change is inevitable, that’s how we learn and develop.
Always remember, the body is the vessel. Your brain is the computer that is monitoring your entire existence. Every experience you have and how you feel is being marked down and a pattern emerges. Your spirit is the energy that brings the body to life. The physical light. Overload the system and it’s hard to focus. Like getting overstimulated and in turn getting emotional. When the body is calm so is the mind, and then you can hear yourself clearly. Find your calm and find the heart of you. Let your love guide you. What do you want to experience in this existence we call life?
