The Indoctrination of a Nation

Do you ever question what it is you believe and how those beliefs came to be? I do. I find myself questioning everything these days. There were so many things I witnessed as a child that just never added up to me. The things I was told versus the actions of the people telling me. The reality of the way people were vs the things they said. I struggled as a child seeing so clearly. I found relief in numbing my experience as I grew. Now I choose to speak. I choose to be honest about my reality. It’s just my perspective, but I know I am not alone. And more and more of us are waking up to what reality really is.

I used to believe that the Bible was the official word of God. I believed it was never altered. That you didn’t question it. That I was being punished for somehow being wrong. A sinner just for being alive. Less than for being born a girl. Eve, the woman who questioned truth. Who didn’t submit and do what she was told but ate some fruit she was forbidden to. Now cursed forever with painful childbirth and submission to a man. It just didn’t make sense to me. The voice in my head as a child, telling me I am loved and my existence is beautiful. That I would survive the circumstances I was in. But the people in my reality that were supposed to be the spiritual ones, I never felt heard the voice of God. They just had a belief that was not to be questioned. And I did. Why would a loving God be a part of wars? Why would a loving God send his son to die. Not just to die but to die horribly, brutally punished because his creation was so evil it needed a blood sacrifice. But the God in my head told me to follow my heart. To find my connection to creation. To follow the love.

As children we learned about the Bible and heard all the stories. We were told it was never altered and the only book of truth. But the truth is, it’s been altered so many times. Each time a new king came into power, they changed the language to adapt their purpose. Not to mention that before it was even put together there was no written documentation. People didn’t write back then. So, for like 400 years it was word of mouth. Ever play the game of telephone? You can only imagine how many people these stories went through. And the age they were written. The viewpoint of humanity at that time. We are so different from our great-great grandparents, and not that many years have passed. Look at how different we live than those in the 1800’s, or 1500’s. Yet we believe these writings as truth. Why? Well, I believe because it was enforced. We are at a time now, where people are not tortured and murdered for not believing in it. They may still be shamed, but we are way freer. It’s been many generations since those days. But you can be sure your ancestors were around way before these days and someone in your bloodline was there for the experience. My grandfather didn’t want us learning Spanish because he used to get in trouble for speaking it in public. That’s what he was taught so he taught us. We have been programmed to believe in a faith that is used to trigger our emotions so we will not question the wars that take place. We won’t question what must be best for us. It keeps us waiting for a savior. Someone else who knows better than you.

To believe in the Bible is to believe in the Abrahamic God. The same God of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Yet most have not read all those books. Most believe in tradition. That’s what really made me believe. Everyone else did so it must be right. But in truth. It’s between you and God. No one else. No book. Every book is filtered through somebodies’ perspective. Your viewpoint and your understanding are what matters. How you find the creator is between you and you. Jesus said the kingdom of heaven is within. If you believe in the man, they tell you about in the Bible then you should believe in all the writings he was a part of. Not just the writings approved for you by whatever government was in charge during that period of time. Just think logically. If you believe the Bible as true. You believe a man, who was the true son of God, came and disrupted the church because they were not true workers of God. And that government killed him. Crucified him on a cross for not obeying their law. And people walk around with a cross around their neck, the symbol of that murder. The death of the loving Gods peaceful son. But our egos tell us he died for our sins, so we are good with God. Our actual actions don’t matter, and we have no real accountability. Thanks for the murder. Thanks for your blood.

That’s not my God. That actually sounds like witchcraft. Blood atonement. Maybe this world is more upside down than we realize.

What I do know is that Spirit has walked beside me throughout my life. I never related to the God of the Bible; I wasn’t supposed to. Spirit taught me a different way of understanding the Bible. Spirit taught me symbolism and consciousness. Levels of awareness and what my body was capable of. Spirit taught me how to survive my upbringing and gave me purpose. It gave me truth. Now I choose to share my perspective. I choose to share love instead of fear. I choose to share a different way of connecting to the Creator.

You are not a sinner. There is nothing wrong with you and the fact that you exist at all is a miracle in itself. You are loved just for being you. You are guided by a universe that is experiencing you just as much as you are experiencing it. So, lead with love. Lead with peace and joy. Be the truth in a world full of lies and hate. And most importantly, enjoy your experience! Life is happening right now. so live.

Good Luck!
