Love and Authenticity

I believe in vibes. I know you can walk into a room and immediately know if there is tension in there. Why is that? Vibrations. Our bodies give off vibrations. If someone is sad you know. Happy you know. We’ve all been there. You walk up to a couple and your like oh crap someone is in trouble. Or you see two people off in the distance and know they are gossiping. Everyone can tap into somebodies vibes. The more down a person is the more “negative” vibes they give off, and in turn makes them attract negative vibes. A positive up person, “positive” vibes. They tend to live much happier lives because they attract better.

So, how do we attract better? I thought love was the highest vibration a person could give off. The love vibes just always make you feel so good. Being in presence of true love makes you feel happy and hopeful. I do LOVE love. Which I’m sure is why I love all the corny Hallmark movies. I know in the end the guy gets the girl and all is right in the world. I love it. But, if love is the highest vibration does that mean you have to find love to be happy? Get married, have babies, etc. etc. I think love is great, and we can definitely find love all around us in every day things, but I feel like there is more.

Turns out though, the highest vibration is authenticity. Just being true to yourself is the best you can do for your vibes. Of course to be authentic you must first know yourself. What do you truly enjoy? What is your passion? Do you have a hobby? Do you love your employment? How’s your relationship with your significant other? What about your family? Kids? Finances? Etc. Etc. Knowing who you truly are takes time. A true journey of the soul. So, while doing that what can I do now?

All around us just seems so fake. News is just fear. I don’t want to attract that. Hollywood, forget that. It’s all power and unreasonable expectation. Politics, not for me. Where’s real? Then I thought, when am I my most true self? In the dumb little moments. I love to sing. I can’t sing. Not at all. But, I don’t care. When no one is home. I dance around and sing my heart out. And in those moments. I’m free. I’m happy not caring what anyone else is doing. Just playing. I find I can be authentic around certain friends. Laugh and imagine a world with aliens, and what people would consider as racism in that world. Just silly little moments of truth. That’s when I’m my most authentic. Those are the vibes I want to attract. And you know what? It’s worked. I don’t care if people think I’m bat shit crazy. Their opinion of me doesn’t change my reality unless I let it. I’m fortunate that I have a husband who just wants me to be happy. He loves me for who I truly am and not what I can do for him. I have children who I’m sure think I’m kooky, but still they love me. I have my in-laws, who are like true parents, that once again are just happy that I’m happy. So, I think I’m doing this authenticity thing right. I’m being true to myself and am creating the world I should have had all along. No need to mourn time long gone. Time to go forward with a new reality. A reality of being me in all my weirdness. A woman who is committed to being the truest version of herself possible. However that looks. I’m far from perfect. I don’t care. I’m good and I am bad. I love and I hate. I have joy and anger. I have emotions and logic. I am me and I love it.

I tell you this, because I wish someone would of told me. Ask yourself the hard questions and be honest. Find your truth in life. Are you being authentic? Are you attracting what you want in life? Clear out your social media. So many of us follow people and hate what they post. They get on our nerves. Yet, we continue to watch. To engage. If it’s family, and we’re afraid to unfriend them, you can click the button to not see their posts. Stop doing what doesn’t serve you. If you don’t like how someone treats you stop engaging. Stop thinking someone is going to change when they haven’t. Stop putting your expectations on other people. The only control you have is of you. What you choose for you. Set boundaries. For others and yourself. Maybe you will have to have some awkward conversations, but what choice do you have. You either continue engaging or change the situation. Take back your power. I get it, there’s something in us that makes us look to other’s for validation. But, what about your own validation? Your tribe is out there. The people who will love and accept you just the way you are. Bad singing and all. You deserve better. We all do. The choice is yours. As always.

Sending authentic love vibes your way! The Awakened Bruja
